CHRISTOPHER GRIFFITHS RELEASES DEBUT EP

Nashville, TN (June 3, 2020) – Established musician and songwriter, Christopher Griffiths, released his debut EP Midlife Pop Crisis today. The new EP stands as a powerful showcase of Christopher’s talent and diversity. Midlife Pop Crisis contains four songs, all written, performed and recorded solely by Griffiths during the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine. What originally was just a way to pass the time while his tour and performances were on hold quickly turned into his debut release. The music is available on all streaming services HERE.

Midlife Pop Crisis Track List:
1. “Dream and My Adidas”
2. “Incredible Lie”
3. “Painted Smile”

(Mixed and mastered by Thom Donovan)

“Griffiths has created a flawless, mostly joyfully powerful pop EP, where beeping synths and drum loops set the pace,” Sounds of the South raves. “All pieces are melodic and danceable, even the only slow song “Painted Smile” is then suitable for a kind of movement in a trance-like manner.”
Jon Little of the Murfreesboro Post proclaimed, “There’s no fat on Midlife Pop Crisis. It’s rock solid from beginning to end. That said, after the opener, everything else feels largely besides the point. “Without the Beat” is just that good. In fact, it’s so infectious, the CDC’s likely tracking its spread at this very moment. It ought to garner Griffiths some serious attention, not only as a bassist, but also as a writer and producer.”
Other praise and interviews for the EP include:  Pat’s Soundbytes Unplugged,  Country Music News International Magazine,  Music Update CentralNashVegas,  Sleeping Bag StudiosRoad Dog Media, and Grubs and Grooves.

Commenting on his new music, Griffiths said, “Sharing new music with people is one of the most exciting and exhilarating things an artist can do. I’m on a mission June 3rd to shake as many booties as possible – and I have the record to prove it.”

About Christopher Griffiths:
A multi-talented musician, Christopher Griffiths plays bass, guitar, keys, synth, harmonica, mandolin and upright bass. Heavily influenced by an array of artists from Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen to Dr. Dre and Iggy Pop, Griffiths is drawn to authentic lyrics that provide the listener with a story. Calling his sound “Garage Rock for Disco Lovers,” the heartfelt singer/songwriter has also dabbled in Americana and Pop genres.

Midlife Pop Crisis may be Griffiths first EP, but he’s been kicking around a while, playing in bands since he was thirteen. SINGER/SONGWRITER LAYLA FRANKEL LAUNCHES KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN

Nashville, TN (June 2, 2020) – Nashville based singer/songwriter Layla Frankel recently launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund her upcoming project, a 5 song EP. Click HERE to learn more!

All funds raised will cover the remaining production costs for the record, as well as additional instrumentation by world-class musicians, merchandise, music video production, press and promotion, and additional taxes and fees.

This past September, Layla found herself at a party casually chatting with Grammy-honored guitarist, producer and audio engineer, Jim Kimball (Reba McEntire), who asked her to send him a song. A month later, she was in his studio with plans to record a new project. For the past 6 months, Jim and Layla have been hard at work creating a 5-track body of music that is shaping up to be absolutely stunning.

“In these trying times, I’m of the opinion that art and music (and songs like “TLC” – written in response to the Parkland shooting in 2018) are going to be what gets us through,” Layla explains.

Recorded at the iconic Starstruck Studios on Music Row, the new album showcases her versatility as an artist, from an activist-fueled folk anthem, to a retro-soul slow jam, to a jazzy ballad serenading her inner muse. Every song is written with intentional artistry, taking twists that surprise her listeners — and even herself. “This whole experience has been an invitation to take myself more seriously. I think that was the only thing missing.”

About Layla Frankel:
Chicago native Layla Frankel doesn’t fit in a box, and she’s decided to stop trying. When she moved to Nashville in 2017, she realized she was too bluesy for the country artists, too “poppy” for folk – and she had more soul on stage than most Nashville audiences had seen before. Known for her distinctive “Soulcana” sound, an amalgamation of pop, folk, soul, rock and blues influences, Layla has managed to build up quite a fan base during her short time in Music City.

SAMUEL HERB RELEASES NEW SINGLE “WAFFLE HOUSE”

Nashville, TN (April 24, 2020) – Americana singer/songwriter Samuel Herb recently released his newest single, “Waffle House,” co-written with Bryan Frazier. You can stream the song HERE!

With melancholy lyrics like in the corner booth, there’s a shaky old man, picking up his coffee cup, with lonely hands, “Waffle House” was inspired by a couple whose relationship was ending because of infidelity.

“One night, a show I was watching on Netflix triggered some feelings that I hadn’t felt in months,” Herb explains. “It was a story about a couple’s relationship ending over infidelity. Waffle House is a sad song. Sad songs make me happy because they give me a sense of community – they show me that I am not alone in feeling alone, or that someone else had a similar experience to me.”

“Earlier this year, I thought it would be a cool idea to release a project called “here are my flaws” – a series of songs that I love dearly but I wouldn’t necessarily record because they don’t fit my brand or image. I would record all of them as raw as I could do it, with my phone’s microphone. Well, I’m Samuel Herb, and here are my flaws.”

About Samuel Herb:
Samuel Herb is a singer/songwriter originally from Jacksonville, FL. After placing second in American Songwriter Magazine’s Lyric Contest, Herb decided to make the move to Nashville in 2016, where he quickly fell in love with Americana music. He released his debut single, “Dirty.” which wound-up in the Top 10 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart and has since been streamed nearly 40,000 times in over 50 different countries.
In October of 2018, Herb released his second single, “Someone Else’s Dream,” which again debuted in the Top 10 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart and quickly grew to a crowd favorite for live shows. It was after writing that song with his producer, Mark Caldwell, that Herb quit his job to pursue music full time.
In Spring of 2019, Herb’s self-titled, debut EP was released featuring six songs, all of which are completely different in story and sound. The EP also made it to #10 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter chart when it debuted.
Since making the move to artist in 2018, Samuel has shared the stage with Rodney Atkins, Jamie Lin WilsonSon LittlePokey LaFargeAmythyst KiahHush KidsTyler Hilton, Erin RaeShawn James and many more. In such a short time, Herb has played in over 23 states, tallying up hundreds of shows in the past two years. Herb’s love of storytelling brings audiences into his mind, while his “in your face sound” shows off his personality. His love of country music, combined with the sounds of Motown and even Disney music are apparent when listening to his stories.

FRASER WATT RELEASES NEW SINGLE

Nashville, TN (March 27, 2020) – Nashville based Pop singer/songwriter Fraser Wattrecently released his new single “Where Do I Go.” You can listen to the song HERE!

With heart-wrenching lyrics like hear noise but nothing sounds familiar, lost all sense of what I meant to do, so I gotta forget, gonna pick myself up and leave, I didn’t think that I’d ever be losing you, “Where Do I Go” is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever felt homesick.

Where Do I Go comes from a studio recording session set-up,” Fraser explains. “Instead of setting up mics, I sat at a piano and played these three melancholy chords. I had been at college away from home for four months at this point and as I played these three chords over and over again, I started thinking about home and what if nothing was how I left it. As the verses are so intimate lyrically, I knew the chorus had to grow – so, I rounded up some of my closest friends and together formed an epic gospel choir to provide power and emotion to make the choruses huge and unforgettable. I’m unbelievably excited to be putting out my first solo release and hope people get behind it because I’ve got lots more to come!”

About Fraser Watt:
The name Fraser Watt might sound unfamiliar, but since moving to Nashville last year, the Berklee grad has played every small venue in the city, been featured on soundtracks for UK SkySports, entertained Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood at Starstruck Studios where he interns, and collaborated with some of the music scene’s hottest new talent.

Growing up in Scotland, Fraser Watt was always inspired by the culture and musical reputation of his home city, Glasgow. He played Tenor and Alto Saxophone from an early age and by his teens, had taught himself guitar and piano. It wasn’t long before he wrote his first set of songs and soon he was making a name for himself on the local gigging scene.

Fraser is a keen sportsman and football player and when it came to career choices – football (following in his dad’s footsteps) or his passion for music, Fraser’s mind was made for him when he was accepted into the world’s most prestigious Contemporary Music School, Berklee in Boston, Massachusetts. Immersed in a variety of genres, Berklee brought about all kinds of projects and collaborations with other fresh talent. Fraser graduated in summer 2019 armed with a degree in Music Production & Engineering, over 100 original songs and a track with friend Gus Dapperton that, to date, has amassed a quarter of a million streams. Upon graduation, Fraser immediately moved to Nashville to take up an internship at the legendary Starstruck Studios, home to Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson.

An innovative and creative musician, writing for himself wasn’t enough to satisfy Fraser so he set about writing and producing for other artists on his move to Nashville last year. Collaborations include: Jeff Cohen, Jenn Bostic, Donna Taggart, Gus Dapperton, Will Irvine (Hunter & The Bear), Ben Earle (The Shires), Dede Kimble and his sister, UK based artist Kerri Watt. His vocals have been heard on soundtracks for UK Sky Sports, BBC’s Wimbledon 2019 footage and UK soap Eastenders. Every week he can be found jamming on the Nashville live scene at venues such as Belcourt Taps and the Opry Mills.

Fraser has been secretly cooking up a unique blend of sounds ready to launch his new solo material. With diverse influences including Lauv, Demi Lovato, Coldplay and fellow Glaswegian Lewis Capaldi, Fraser’s brand new single “Where Do I Go” will have you enamored with a huge hook and silky vocal tones. A charismatic and charming performer with a story to tell, Fraser Watt is a very relevant new artist worth keeping an eye on.

You can connect with Fraser on Instagram and Facebook.
