British Country-Pop Star, Twinnie, Ends Her “Sad Girl Era”with Empowering New Album ‘Something We Used to Say’

Nashville, TN (November 8, 2024) – British country-pop sensation Twinnie unveils her highly anticipated new album, ‘Something We Used to Say,’ a powerful collection marking the end of her “Sad Girl Era” and a bold leap into a vibrant new chapter. This personal album explores heartbreak, resilience, and rediscovery, with relatable storytelling and irresistible hooks that invite listeners into her world. The album has already made waves, debuting at #1 on the UK iTunes Country Chart—a testament to her growing impact in both the UK and Nashville scenes.

Holler praises ‘Something We Used to Say’ as “a brilliant new 22-track album,” celebrating Twinnie as a “Brit Country superstar” and declaring it “a late contender for pop country album of the year.”

Critics agree that Twinnie’s storytelling and dynamic style set ‘Something We Used to Say’ apart. Goldmine’s Warren Kurtz raves, “From the country that brought us Twiggy in the ‘60s, here’s Twinnie, with an amazing 22 songs on her new album today, immediately engaging with the up-tempo opener ‘Lonely Song.’ There’s a Taylor Swift sound in the catchy ‘Hypothetically.’ The album’s title song, ‘Something We Used to Say,’ is strong and ‘Paying Interest’ rolls along nicely. Enjoy the positive flow of ‘The Greatest Love Story’ and immerse yourself in the country story song ‘London.’ ‘Fall in Love’ is wonderfully melodic, and the aptly positioned finale, ‘Last Song,’ is delivered with P!nk-like emotion. That’s just a sample of one-third of Twinnie’s new songs. Wow!”

With each track, Twinnie guides listeners through a journey from heartbreak to healing, drawing acclaim from across the music community. Grubs + Grooves calls the album “nothing short of stunning,” while Undiscovered Nashville highlights “Bad Man” as “an anthem for anyone carrying emotional scars into new relationships.” American Songwriter praises her versatility, noting that “Bad Man” reveals Twinnie’s vocal prowess, while “Lonely Long” showcases her softer, reflective side.

Twinnie’s album release follows a history-making year that has cemented her place in Nashville’s music scene. On October 2, she became the first British artist to perform the U.S. National Anthem at Nashville’s GEODIS Park Stadium, an honor that showcased her powerful vocals and earned widespread praise. Just last week, Twinnie debuted at the Country Music Hall of Fame, performing songs from Something We Used to Say for an electrified audience. Music City Melodies noted, “Twinnie is more than ready to conquer America’s heart, one unforgettable song at a time.”

Known for her bold and witty lyrics, Twinnie had the Hall of Fame crowd laughing with her darkly humorous anthem, “Just Like Earle,” a “twin sister” to The Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl.” Twinnie’s unique sound—described by Music City Melodies as “reminiscent of Gwen Stefani, but with a distinct country edge”—left audiences on their feet.

As Nashville Socialite described after her Hall of Fame set, “Twinnie’s performance was a masterful blend of fun, danceable tracks and deeply moving ballads—like a modern twist on ABBA’s infectious spirit.”

Jacquie Roar Releases Powerful New Ballad “Pass the Pain” in Honor of Suicide Prevention Month

Nashville, TN (September 27, 2024) – In a bold departure from her signature electrifying sound, country music firebrand Jacquie Roar delivers the gut-wrenching ballad Pass the Pain in honor of Suicide Prevention Month.

Inspired by the devastating loss of a close friend, “Pass the Pain” offers an unapologetically raw look at the aftermath of emotional abuse and mental health struggles. Roar’s poignant lyrics capture the heartbreaking consequences of a toxic relationship that led someone to their breaking point. With a chorus that hits like a freight train, Roar sings, “The light inside of you was burned out for so long / But you did what you did when you did / And all you’ve done is pass the pain on.”

The song is already generating significant buzz. Goldmine’s Warren Kurtz praised it as, “not only my favorite song of Jacquie’s so far, but also one of my favorite songs of 2024… the delicate backdrop of piano, acoustic guitar, and strings, paired with Jacquie’s melodic vocal runs, creates a powerful and honest recording. ‘Pass the Pain’ is award-worthy.”

Music City Melodies echoed similar sentiments, stating, “Roar’s vocals are absolutely captivating in ‘Pass the Pain.’ The vulnerability in her voice, combined with the stripped-down instrumentation, makes for a hauntingly beautiful track that cuts straight to the core. This song proves Jacquie is not only an incredible performer but also a masterful storyteller.”

“I wrote this song about my friend’s story,” says Roar. “He was trapped in an abusive relationship, and it became too much for him to bear. Surviving the loss of someone you love is never easy, and this song speaks to the pain left behind.”

“Pass the Pain” is more than just a song; it’s a heartfelt anthem for anyone who has experienced loss, a ballad that resonates long after the final note. With this release, Jacquie Roar showcases her remarkable ability to convey raw emotion while highlighting the critical importance of mental health awareness and support. The album captures moments of vulnerability, humor, and empowerment as Paige explores everything from dating frustrations in “Why Can’t Dating Just be Easy?” to the liberating anthem “F U Party.”

“I started writing this album three years ago while I was still in college, and at that time, I felt like I couldn’t fully be myself because of the pressure to meet societal norms,” shares Paige. “Writing music and putting it out there isn’t always the ‘expected’ path, but I’m so glad I didn’t let that stop me. This album is about breaking away from those expectations, accepting who I am, and encouraging others to do the same. It’s okay to be different. I’ve learned to embrace that, and I’m so much happier now.”

The process of creating “23” came together with the help of renowned producer Justine Blazer, who mixed, mastered, and produced the entire album. “Last year, I put out a message in a musicians’ group on Facebook, looking for a producer. I was blown away by how many people responded, but I’m so glad it led me to Justine Blazer. She has been instrumental in bringing this project to life, and her support has meant the world to me.”

Although Paige initially aimed to release the album while she was still 23, taking the extra time allowed her to craft a sound that fully represents her artistic vision. “It’s everything I’ve ever wanted and more, and I’m so excited that it’s finally out in the world.”

With eleven original tracks, “23” is a journey through love, heartbreak, identity, and growth. Highlights include the energetic “Taylor Swift All Night,” the raw and introspective “I Don’t Date Geminis,” and the album’s closing track, “LA,” a powerful anthem about chasing dreams and finding your own path.

About Cara Paige:
Cara Paige, a 24-year-old singer/songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia, found a love for music early on and a voice through songwriting and a guitar. She started singing at 8, but it was when she got her hands on a guitar at 14 that everything clicked. She’s entirely self-taught, which has made her journey with music uniquely hers.

“Red Flags,” her first song, was written at just 14 years old. By 17, she had the chance to record it professionally, marking the start of her journey into the music industry. Ten years into songwriting, her process is still evolving, fueled by a love for the craft that grows stronger every day.

Music has been Cara’s emotional outlet, her way of understanding the world, and through her songs, she offers the same refuge to her listeners. Her goal is simple: to connect, to comfort, and to resonate with people who find pieces of their own stories in her lyrics.

As Cara continues to write and release new music, reaching a broader audience remains a priority—not for the sake of numbers, but for the opportunity to share experiences, emotions, and moments that matter.
