PIANIST JASON LYLE BLACK TO PRESENT “A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS” IN KENNEWICK, WA

KENNEWICK (December 4, 2017) – Fountain Books, an independent Deseret Book Store, and #LightTheWorld present “A Merry Little Christmas” with Jason Lyle Black in a night of piano, comedy and Christmas cheer! The concert will be held at Kennewick High School (500 South Dayton Street) on Saturday, December 9th.

In addition, a free educational workshop will be held the same afternoon at 2pm, focused on composing music, effective practice habits, and staying motivated. This free event requires pre-registration and will last about 1 hour. Parents are welcome to attend. You can purchase tickets to the show and register for the workshop HERE.

At the concert, Jason will be recognizing a local individual or family who embodies the “Spirit of Christmas” through service and example to the community.

JEFF HARDY TO PERFORM IN COVINGTON, KY

Nashville, TN (December 4, 2017) – Professional wrestler and singer/songwriter JEFF HARDY will be performing live at the Madison Theater in Covington, KY on December 15. He will be joined by local musicians Heart Means More, Toybox Killer, Sever the Ties,Mister Mason and Motel Faces.

General admission tickets are $13 in advance and $18 at the door. VIP tickets, which include a meet and greet and photo opportunity with Jeff Hardy, early entry, special seating, collector’s laminate and a signed show poster, are available for $50.  Tickets can be purchased HERE.

MEGAN BARKER RELEASES NEW CHRISTMAS SINGLE

Nashville, TN (November 22, 2017) – Nashville-based singer/songwriter Megan Barker recently released her new holiday song, “One More Christmas With You,” to iTunes. You can download the single HERE!

With touching lyrics like snow hasn’t hit the ground, but I can feel it in the air, your memory’s all over town, but you ain’t really there, the Christmas tune is sure to tug on heartstrings and has a very special meaning to Barker.

“When Dad and I wrote One More Christmas With You, it was about being heartbroken over a relationship ending,” Barker explains. “Now, for me, it’s a song about missing my Daddy – but, it makes me happy when I play it live. His memory lives on through this song.”

Born into the music industry, her father, Bobby P. Barker, wrote songs for country legends such as Ronnie Milsap and Barbara Mandrell. Her mother, Barbara Smith-Barker, was also a touring artist and session singer. Megan spent her childhood in studios and writing sessions where she learned at an early age how to craft a lyrical narrative.

Megan started her career singing at local Las Vegas venues where her unique and prolific songwriting and contagious melodies helped her to play bigger venues, including The Linq, Monte Carlo, First Friday Festival, The House of Blues, The Hard Rock Cafe and more. She has also had the privilege of opening for the likes of Montgomery Gentry, Lee Briceand Eli Young Band.

PIANIST JASON LYLE BLACK TO PRESENT “A MERRY LITTLE CHRISTMAS” THANKSGIVING WEEKEND

REXBURG (November 13, 2017) —Black is back.  Pianist and YouTube star Jason Lyle Black, who performed a fundraiser in Rexburg earlier this year for the Upper Valley Music Teachers Association, is back for a bigger-and-better Christmas concert featuring local celebrity beatboxer and BYU-I student Parker Kane.

“I’m thrilled to be coming back to Rexburg,” Black notes.  “This is an all-new concert with Christmas music, live audience requests for their favorite Christmas songs, and special guest Parker Kane, with whom I’ll be doing my first-ever piano/beatbox Christmas duet!”

The concert is presented by Idaho Central Credit Union, and supported by Rexburg City and by #LightTheWorld.  Black said his goal is to create a tradition in the Rexburg community for families and the campus community to come together to enjoy Christmas music.

“Specifically, we wanted to provide something fun for families to do over Thanksgiving weekend,” Black notes, as the concert takes place Saturday, November 25, at 7 PM at the Rexburg Tabernacle.  “We know that families are often looking for something fun to do over Thanksgiving weekend, so we created a special “Family pass” for the concert.”

“This is a concert you don’t want to miss,” notes David Love, president of the Upper Valley Music Teachers Association.  “Jason knocked the socks off the audience last time he was here.  His unique mix of music, comedy, and audience improvisation was an absolute hit!”

JUILLIARD-TRAINED VOCALIST RELEASES PAVAROTTI STYLE MEDLEY OF DISNEY FAVORITES

New York, New York (November 7, 2017) – Not all YouTubers are pop stars recording in their parent’s basements. New York City-based and Ottawa-born Canadian Baritone, Jonathan Estabrooks, a Juilliard-trained opera singer, wanted to create something unusual.  Estabrooks traveled to the iconic national parks of Utah and teamed up with #1-charting concert pianist Jason Lyle Black, known for over 30 million views on his Disneymusic videos, to arrange and release a Pavarotti style medley of Disney favorites. The video features “Go the Distance” and “I See the Light,” from Disney’s Hercules and Tangled.  Black is known as a Disney arranger of hits including “Frozen”, “UP”, and his forthcoming book of Disney Medleys for Piano Solo (from Hal Leonard).  Estabrooks is known for performances around the world at such iconic venues as Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center and Seattle Symphony. He has collaborated with Grammy-winning producer and mixer Dave Reitzas (Groban, Streisand), Michael J. MUSICAL TRIO WITH DOWN SYNDROME MAKES HISTORY ON YOUTUBE – “HOW FAR I’LL GO”

Salt Lake City (October 10, 2017) – A YouTube piano trio consisting entirely of teen girls with Down syndrome has taken the internet by storm this week, with a beautiful rendition of Disney’s “How Far I’ll Go.”  You can watch the video HERE!

Pianists Cambria (16), Joby (16), and Kiley (17), all born with Down syndrome, perform a beautiful rendition of the hit from the recent Disney film Moana.  The video was released by YouTuber Jason Lyle Black, a nationally acclaimed concert pianist who made headlines previously with his takes on Disney’s “Frozen” and “UP.”

“I really wanted to tell a story of individuals with special needs at the piano,” Black relates.  “It’s what I call the “Susan Boyle” effect—demonstrating to others just how incredible these girls are.  My goal is for us all to realize the innate potential within ourselves.”

Black arranged the music for the girls, making the video a first in YouTube history, as the first YouTube piano trio consisting entirely of members with Down syndrome.

“How Far I’ll Go—A Special Piano Trio for Down Syndrome Awareness” was released to coincide with Down Syndrome Awareness month.  As of this morning, the video already has over 100,000 views on Facebook, with a separate YouTube version having just been released.

ANCHOR PUBLICITY TO DONATE PROCEEDS TO MUSIC CITY CARES FUND

Nashville, TN (October 3, 2017) – Nashville based Public Relations agency Anchor Publicity will be donating 10% of all proceeds for the month of October to the Music City Cares Fund, a fund established by The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.  One hundred percent of the donations received by the Music City Cares Fund will go to Las Vegas non-profit organizations, benefiting the victims of the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival.
