BRANDON BLACKBURN RELEASES DEBUT COUNTRY SINGLE “472”

Nashville, TN (September 21, 2022) – Country rocker Brandon Blackburn recently released his debut single “472.” You can listen to the song HERE!

With spellbinding lyrics like my gypsy soul rolls from town to town, with different faces and different crowds, all my life I’ve never known someone to miss me when I’m gone, “472” describes a bittersweet romance for a touring artist.

“I wrote 472 about a long distance relationship that I was in, as I was seeing someone in Nashville at the time,” Brandon explains. “Being a musician, I’m always on the road performing. I absolutely love traveling and playing in places I’ve never been, but once I started seeing this girl, I found that instead of wanting to go on the road to these new places, all I wanted to do was make the long lonely drive to Tennessee. Those 472 miles from Orange Beach to Nashville were the only stretch of road I cared about. They gave me the inspiration to write my first original song and I hope the audience enjoys it as much as I do.”

About Brandon Blackburn:
Brandon Blackburn has loved music for as long as he can remember. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he and his family moved all around the country during his childhood while his father attended medical school. “My father played guitar growing up and was really into the 80’s hair metal. He definitely gave me the passion I have for music and the love for that era of music definitely got passed down to me.”

After getting his first guitar as a Christmas present in third grade, Brandon’s father taught him the basic chords. Before long, he had mastered their favorite song – “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Heavily influenced by the likes of Eric Church, Poison, Nelly and Matchbox 20, Brandon has cultivated his own unique sound by combining modern country with a hint of alternative rock.

In 2016, Brandon graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis on finance and risk management. He credits his college years for giving him the confidence to perform on stage. “I would go out on Wednesday nights, get liquored up, and hit karaoke night. That’s where I found the nerve, I guess you would say, to start singing in front of other people.”

“I’m a jokester, so I’m always giving corny toasts and engaging with the crowd by making them laugh, making them drink, etc. I absolutely love taking requests and no request is too out there. At my shows, I’ll go from Bon Jovi and Alan Jackson to Prince and Slipknot…I’ve even busted out some SpongeBob SquarePants a time or two!”

Over the last four years, Brandon has been performing at local bars all over the gulf coast and, most recently, the entire southeast.  In 2021, he was awarded the honor of “Best Country Performer” by Lagniappe Magazine, a Mobile-based magazine that focuses on South Alabama.

In July of 2022, he finished writing his first original song and released “472” on September 21st. You can follow Brandon on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Spotify.

EMILY MYERS RELEASES OFFICIAL MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “UNWRITE EVERY SONG”

Nashville, TN (June 17, 2022) – Country music singer/songwriter Emily Myers recently released the official music video for her single “Unwrite Every Song.” You can watch the video HERE!
With touching lyrics like these melodies are memories that I’ve had to live, heartaches, mistakes, regrets to forgive, “Unwrite Every Song” (written by Emily Myers, Amanda McCarthy and Tom Shubsda) describes a beautiful narrative that many listeners will relate to.
“I am inspired by everyday stories – what makes someone laugh, cry, persevere,” Emily explains. “I create music to give these stories, both yours and mine, an outlet to reveal our deep similarities and learn from our stark differences. Music is reminder that we are not alone. We are in this journey together.”

About Emily Myers:
Heartfelt vocals coalesce with a keen sense of imaginative storytelling, forming the backdrop to Emily Myers’ captivating Country/Americana sound. These visceral elements have been pivotal to Emily’s success, as she’s graced many stages across the U.S.

Hailing from Jefferson City, her upbringing nurtured her musical talents. Her vocal palette is wide and far-ranging, and is known to traverse styles all the way from Country-Pop to more singer/songwriter style piano ballads. Deeply rooted in her music is the art of storytelling, focusing on the themes of self-discovery, love, faith and lessons we encounter throughout life.

While the world ebbs and flows, music has been a constant in Emily Myers’ life. Her musical curiosity led her to take piano, voice, dance and guitar lessons at an early age, before discovering a passion for musical theatre. During her studies in opera and theatre at Oklahoma City University, she soon discovered her true calling in the craft of songwriting. It was not long before Emily was playing original songs to friends, and was hooked on the feeling of spreading and affecting positivity.

Emily’s newest single, ‘Unwrite Every Song,’ was released on May 13, 2022 and is the title track to an EP that will follow later this year. This song questions if you would rather not have the negative experiences of heartbreak and grief in life even if it means there wouldn’t be inspiration for the songs written. It is a song that perfectly represents who Emily is in this season of writing and highlights both the detailed, hope-filled storytelling and the soaring vocals that define her music.

This music follows ‘Bare Feet,’ her debut single released on Labor Day weekend, Friday, Sept. 4, 2020. It was followed by two more singles, ‘Skyline’ and ‘Wallflower,’ in the following months, with all three tracks perfectly capturing the mood and style that Emily Myers manifests in her productions.

Emily has embarked on a new business venture (started last year), writing custom songs for everyday people. She has written songs celebrating their biggest milestones from weddings to graduations to anniversaries and all the intimate, beautiful moments in between.

Additionally, Emily competed in the WAJ Competition & Immerse Competition, was a featured songwriter in Project21 concert series, and is also a professional worship leader.

With heartfelt lyrics like how can you trust when your life is shattered, how can you stand when you’re on your knees, “Believe Again” delivers a significant message that is sure to resonate with listeners.

“I wrote Believe Again about my journey healing from PTSD and what it was like getting my faith back in the midst of it,” Brittany explains. “I didn’t want it to be another song that was overly positive. For me, it was a raw biopic of everything I was going through at the time, when my daily prayer was God, I believe! Help me overcome my unbelief. Writing and singing this song has been healing for me and it has been such a joy to see how it’s touched other people. I truly believe that music has the power to break through barriers and bring people hope again. So many people have been through traumatic experiences in their lives and haven’t fully processed the experience. We have been through collective trauma in the last 2.5 years worldwide and I’m so excited to be able to put the music video for this song out now. I hope that it will heal hearts the same way it helped me heal my own.”

About Brittany Bexton:
Brittany Bexton grew up with Aretha Franklin, Motown, and rock and roll as the soundtracks that influenced her musical palate. She began her career as a youngster performing in hometown choirs and the theatre. Brittany studied music intently in high school and took vocal lessons with four master teachers. She attended Pacific Conservatory Theater (PCPA) where she studied acting, singing and dancing, and worked in professional musical theater. “It’s an interesting story actually,” Trace explains. “This song came about from a challenge, versus some inspirational hook that popped in my head at 3AM. I’ve been blessed to have built several relationships with artists, writers, and publishers over the years which has developed into good friendships. During a publisher meeting, my friend, Butch Baker, gave me a challenge of writing my favorite 90’s song into a modern lyric…up-tempo, of course, and with an intriguing story line that keeps the listener wondering what happens next.  I wanted to challenge myself to grow as a writer and an artist. This has proven to be an incredible experience with releases from other artists like Carrie Cunningham (“All Over Me”) and Jackson Snelling from American Idol (“Forgot I Was Forgetting”) over the past year.  It’s really solidified how much I love the art of writing and I have songs that just resonate with me personally that I want to release, too.”

COUNTRY DUO, WESTER, RINGS IN THE NEW YEAR WITH “ROOFTOP PARTY”

Nashville, TN (December 31, 2021) – It’s time to ring in the new year Nashville Style! Country music recording artists and dynamic sibling duo Wester recently released their second single Rooftop Party – a high energy, contagious song that everyone is invited to sing along to. You can listen to the song HERE!

With rowdy lyrics like I maxed out my credit card, don’t know how or why, a couple tattoos and a bunch of uber rides, “Rooftop Party” is the perfect song to blast while celebrating with friends.

“This is a wild story but it’s the truth,” Pearl Clarkin explains. “Rafe and I are here in Nashville working on a music career and going to college. Nashville has a scene that you will not find going on anywhere else. Last Saturday night, Rafe and I were in the car going on a late Chick-fil-A dinner run and we got a call from a famous producer who works in LA and Nashville. He said Pearlie the party is at Aldean’s Rooftop tonight. Come on down and text me. I’ll have security bring you up. It was me, Rafe, the producer and the world’s most famous singer in the middle of about 20 people, who have flown to Nashville from all over the world to be at this rooftop party. This goes on every weekend on Broadway – it’s fun and it’s wild, so Rafe wrote a song about it. One day I will write a book and tell my stories. But for now our song names no names.”

“The thing about writing a song is you can tell the story of what’s happening,” Rafe Wester continues. “What’s happening now is the Nashville scene – its changing and evolving with a new generation. When Hank Williams wrote Jumbalaya, it was about the country party scene of his day. You can still listen to his song and catch the vibe. I wrote Rooftop Partyso I could share what the move is going into 2022. If we’re lucky, this is how we spend our Saturday nights. But, you have to have an invite. Our song Rooftop Party is everyone’s invite to this party. Come on up!”

About Wester:
Rafe Wester grew up with an uncanny resemblance to Randy Travis. People would ask, Do you sing country music?

Pearl Clarkin has been singing and writing songs since childhood. At age 12, she was recruited by American Idol for its training camp. By 14, she had been named one of the top unsigned artists in the country by CMT. The invitations to come sing in Nashville came streaming in and by 16, Pearl was traveling on weekends to sing at a Hard Rock Cafe Nashville for a weekly showcase. By the time Pearl enrolled at Belmont University, the whole family decided to move from Pensacola Beach to Nashville.

Pearl knew Rafe had a beautiful bass voice, so when he was 15 she signed him up to sing at church. But, while Pearl put her music before everything, Rafe always seemed to have something else to do. When Rafe turned 18, he officially got bitten by the “music bug” and also began studying at Belmont University.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit and the two siblings found themselves in the house together 24/7, Pearl taught Rafe how to play the guitar. They began to write songs about the wild and crazy Nashville scene, North Florida, alligators, crawfish boils, the beach, and the farm. A year later when the restrictions were lifted, they took their 40 songs and toured the country, singing over 50 shows in 2021.

In August 2021 Wester released their first single called “Redneck Rollercoaster” – a song dedicated to fun times singing on Lower Broadway in Nashville. The following November, they released their cover of the Christmas hit “Jingle Bell Rock,” which received more than 11,000 views on YouTube.

Look for a very big 2022 as these two kids plan to release four more songs and sing another 50 gigs around the country and who knows what else. The energy and enthusiasm is on full blast. Wester is off to a great start!

You can follow Wester on Instagram and Facebook.

You can follow Pearl Clarkin on Facebook and Instagram and Rafe Wester on TikTok.
