NICK RYAN RELEASES NEW SINGLE “DON’T HOLD YOUR BREATH”

Nashville, TN (June 25, 2021) – Alternative/Pop-Rock singer/songwriter Nick Ryan is back with a new single! You can listen to “Don’t Hold Your Breath” HERE!

With edgy lyrics like I’ve been fighting for my rights, but feel taken for granted, “Don’t Hold Your Breath” showcases an array of different emotions that can come after a betrayal. Click HERE to watch the official music video.

Don’t Hold Your Breath (co-written with Sarah McSweeney) is a song about letting go of a toxic relationship – whether it be love, or in my case, a friendship,” Nick explains. “It’s a response to people that don’t hold you in a high regard. You’re giving and they are only taking. They emotionally drain you, so if they try to crawl their way back into your life, tell them don’t hold your breath. I was inspired by that catchphrase which was used in a very old Nickelodeon show called ‘My Brother and Me.’ The quote is the only part I remember from that show, as it was only 13 episodes. I have many nods to 90s television throughout my album.”

About Nick Ryan:
Nick Ryan is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist. He graduated with degrees in Recording Arts and Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. He was a member of GRAMMY U during college and transitioned to a Voting Member of the Recording Academy in 2016.

Five years since his debut album Lone Wolf, Nick Ryan is coming back with a vengeance with his sophomore effort Nemesis. During that time, Nick worked with GRAMMY winners, former major label band members and music publishers and songwriters across North America and Europe, trying to hone in on his artistry and take his career to the next level. After many trials, errors and disappointments trying to please everyone but himself, he has finally taken control of his artistry. Experimenting with various producers both in the Washington, DC area and his new home in Nashville, TN, he has finally found the right collaborators to realize his vision. Produced by Jordan Grubbs at Magic Square Recording in Nashville, Nemesis is a collection of songs dealing with taking control and power back.

MARION SHAINA RELEASES DEBUT SINGLE

Nashville, TN (June 25, 2021) – Indie-Pop singer/songwriter Marion Shaina recently released her debut single “The Incredible Shrinking Girl.” You can listen to the song HERE!

With heart-rending lyrics like at night I strive for impossible things, but lately the real world’s been really weighing in, “The Incredible Shrinking Girl” is sure to resonate with those who sometimes feel small in a big world.

“I started writing The Incredible Shrinking Girl at a time when I was wasn’t writing a lot of songs,” Marion explains. “I had just transferred colleges, I hadn’t really made any friends yet, and I remember I was reading this book about the circus. One night, I was thinking about how cool all of the circus character names were. Then I thought: if I were in the circus, what would my circus character name be? And it hit me: The Incredible Shrinking Girl. My superpower, my special skill, was shrinking myself – making myself so small that even if I was special and perfect and incredible, no one could see it. I couldn’t let anyone see it. And that realization hurt. So I wrote down the name, kept reading, and pushed the thought out of my mind. But, The Incredible Shrinking Girl was something I kept coming back to. It became my alter-ego. Any time I made a mistake or made myself small or felt like I didn’t belong, that was who I was. Marion, The Incredible Shrinking Girl.

About Marion Shaina:
Having grown up in a household without contemporary music, for every song her parents missed on the radio, Marion listened 3 times as hard. In the 8th grade, Marion picked up the guitar and hasn’t put it down since. Performing her original songs at the weekly open mic nights at Spoon Coffee House & Eatery in Lindenhurst, Long Island, Marion lived off of what she calls “the moment” – that first split second when someone suddenly stops what they are doing, looks up, and listens. Marion has their full attention. In that magical moment, she is able to create a connection. It’s like having her own personal superpower.

At the age of 18, Marion moved to Nashville, TN for college. She knew that any city labeled Music City was where she belonged – and Music City is where she has been ever since.

Marion loves the way songwriting helps her develop deeper bonds with the world around her. She loves to see how her music changes in meaning over time, but never in relevancy. The indie pop songstress hopes that, by putting her music out into the world, she might be able to create more connections than she would have been capable of had she pursued any other path in life.

Marion Shaina’s debut single, The Incredible Shrinking Girl, was released on June 25, 2021.

Charlotte released her debut EP To New York, With Love in June 2018, which received recognition from newspapers, music blogs, and playlists worldwide. “For some of us, it’s easy to catch yourself thinking about the ways that your parents could have done a better job raising you,” Julia explains. “Now that I’m older, of course I know that they did the best that they could with what they had. But, growing up in Alaska as a poor first generation American, I couldn’t help but to think about what I would want to do differently. This song was born from that place in my heart.”

About Julia Cannon:
Julia Cannon is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and music producer who is hard to forget. Her soothing, honeyed voice and quirky personality offer a pleasing contrast to the bittersweet honesty of her lyrics.

Tracks such as Mashed Potatoes, Batty, and Tracking have been featured in podcasts and playlists across the US and UK. In 2017, Cannon released her debut album, Lack of Will.

Julia Cannon’s sound has been described as playful and relaxing, but her tone transcends the indie-folk genre to include comedy, classic rock, and jazz influences. Cannon credits her genre-bending style to influences such as Ella Fitzgerald, Paul McCartney, and Paul Simon. Cannon now has a growing fanbase in Nashville, who join an existing community of ardent supporters both at home in Alaska and across the US.

CARRIE CUNNINGHAM REMINDS US WHAT LOVE IS WITH NEW SINGLE

Nashville, TN (May 11, 2021) – After releasing her first ballad (“Doors Don’t Close”) off of her Showgirl Series, Carrie Cunningham is changing the pace and giving us a thought-provoking new song about humanity. Click HERE to listen to “What is Love.”

With a blend of Reggae, Pop, and Urban influences, this country artist is showing us her idea of what an anthemic song looks like.  With lyrics like what is love? ’cause if it’s patient and kind, I don’t mean to judge, but it’s falling behind, what’s with all the anger what’s with all the hate, wish it was the anchor to how we live today, listeners are sure to connect with Carrie’s message.

“I’ve always been hesitant to write a song that resembles a political song – but this song needed to be written,” Carrie explains. “It didn’t start out that way.  Lyrically, my co-writers, Ceri Usmar, Steve Smentek and I, were going off a mid-tempo, very legato melody that I started to sing as we were writing it. It helped us through the process of finishing the lyrics. But, I wasn’t truly happy with what I had come up with. The prosody hadn’t been met yet. I threw out four or five different versions until two days before I went into the studio to record it. I knew this version of the song was the right one.”

Carrie is also making a video for the song, with photos from award winning photographer Aaron Andersen, which will be out later this month  It will be available on YouTube and also her website.

About Carrie Cunningham:
Carrie is based in both Nashville, Tennessee and Huntington Beach, California. She has been a touring artist for two decades and has performed on over 1,000 stages. She has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with over 50 national acts, such as Kacey MusgravesCharlie DanielsJake OwenCrystal GayleDiamond RioCollective Soul and more.
