Nashville, TN (August 26, 2016) – Country sweetheart and singer/songwriter Abbi Scott just released her latest single, “Love Wasn’t Ready for Me” to country radio via PlayMPE. The upbeat and catchy tune, written by Nashville hitmakers Eric Paslay and Sherie Austin, is perfect for the summertime season and showcases Abbi’s bubbly personality. Audiences are guaranteed to feel a connection to the relatable lyrics “We were young and dumb and yeah, we were seventeen, running on attitude and gasoline.” Download the new single HERE.
“Country girls and boys, if you have not heard of Ms. Abbi Scott, hold on to your hats and put your boots on, ’cause this girl means business,” Latania’s Talk Time has said about the young starlet.
“For me and my music, I don’t want to be compared to anyone else,” Scott said. “I don’t want to be a copy of anyone. I just want to be the next Abbi Scott.”
Born in the small town of Clinton, Indiana, Abbi started singing at an early age and quickly learned that her voice was one that people loved. Her influences range from Dixie Chicks, Martina McBride and Miranda Lambert to her Dad’s favorites – Motley Crue and Poison. By combining all of these different artists, Abbi found her signature sound which appeals to all audiences. Abbi has opened for some of the biggest acts in country music, including Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell and Dierks Bentley, all while attending Lipscomb University.
