Carrie Cunningham Releases Heartfelt New Single “Mama Strings”

Nashville, TN (May 9, 2025) – Nashville recording artist Carrie Cunningham unveils her powerful new single, “Mama Strings” — an emotionally rich ballad that captures the unbreakable bond between mother and child while honoring the strength it takes to rewrite the past.

With vivid, heart-tugging lyrics like ‘these unbreakable connections to your heart aren’t just little things, they’re my mama strings,’  Cunningham delivers a message of unconditional love, resilience, and hope.

“During a writing session with my co-writer Diann Hammer (‘Click’ from the ‘Showgirl’ album), we started comparing ‘war stories’ about how we were raised,” says Cunningham. “We both had great examples of how not to be as a parent. We were scared to have our own children—afraid we’d repeat the cycle. ‘Mama Strings’ came from that vulnerable place of choosing to parent differently, with love, strength, and intention. We hope the song resonates with anyone who’s been brave enough to break the cycle of abuse.”

Early praise for the track has already begun to pour in:

“In a world filled with love songs and breakup ballads, Mama Strings stands out as something more — a tribute to resilience, to generational healing, and to the sacred, imperfect journey of motherhood. Carrie Cunningham doesn’t just sing the song; she lives it. And in doing so, she invites listeners to reflect, heal, and maybe even forgive — both their mothers and themselves.”
Nashville Socialite

“Acoustic guitar strings backdrop ‘Mama Strings,’ with Carrie Cunningham’s clear vocal delivery celebrating mother and child connections, growing up, and offering a loving lifetime wish; a perfect song debut for this Mother’s Day Weekend.”
—Warren Kurtz, Goldmine Magazine

Produced with the warmth and raw honesty that fans have come to expect from the ‘Showgirl’ singer, “Mama Strings” offers a deeply personal story that speaks universally to parents and children alike.

About Carrie Cunningham:
“They say the neon lights are bright on Broadway, but that isn’t just true for New York City. Nashville recording artist Carrie Cunningham has been shining just as brightly with her Showgirl Series (Music City Melodies).” Born in Nebraska, raised in the Northwest, and now based in Nashville, Carrie has always been a bit of a nomad—driven by her love of the road and a deep-rooted passion for music. Influenced by a wide range of genres including country, jazz, classical, and Motown, Carrie “has a style all her own, almost a musical chameleon” (Zetland Country, UK).

Inspired by powerhouse female artists like Miranda Lambert, Reba McEntire, Barbara Mandrell, and Donna Summer, Carrie fell in love with the stage and the thrill of live performance. A dynamic entertainer, she consistently delivers unforgettable shows. She’s been called the “Next Shania Twain” and, perhaps her favorite title, “Garth Brooks in a skirt.”

Carrie’s 2017 EP Let’s Dance was named one of the Top 10 Albums by Women of Country Music. Her latest album, ‘Showgirl,’ was released in January 2021 with a new single unveiled each month. The project quickly gained momentum, landing on nearly 40 playlists and accumulating close to 400,000 streams to date.

Carrie has graced over 1,000 stages and shared them with more than 50 nationally touring artists. With several chart-topping hits in Europe and an ever-growing global fan base, Carrie Cunningham continues to expand her reach—and her impact—as an artist with heart, grit, and unstoppable drive.

Nashville, TN (May 5, 2025) – Anthems Against Abuse is proud to announce its 2nd Annual Benefit Concert, returning to Nashville on Saturday, June 14, 2025, from 4pm-10pm at The Coliseum. This powerful evening blends live performances, survivor advocacy, and community connection in support of organizations that provide life-changing services to those impacted by domestic and sexual abuse.

Tickets are just $25, and 100% of proceeds will benefit three local nonprofits at the forefront of this critical work: The Mary Parrish Center, the YWCA of Nashville & Middle Tennessee, and the Metro Office of Family Safety.

The event features a genre-spanning lineup of female artists including Alicia Blue, Brittany Bishop, Daisy Sellas, Thunder and Rain, Layla Tucker, Noelle Goodin, and Abby Nissenbaum. Each performer brings a distinct sound and perspective to the stage, contributing to an atmosphere of strength, vulnerability, and resilience.

Between sets, attendees will hear from guest speakers representing A Step Ahead Middle TN, Thistle Farms, The Mary Parrish Center, the YWCA, the Metro Office of Family Safety, the Robertson County District Attorney’s Office, and a licensed trauma therapist who specializes in working with survivors. These voices will offer education, insight, and inspiration—amplifying the mission at the heart of the event.

In addition to music and speakers, the evening will include a silent auction and a vibrant marketplace featuring women-owned small businesses offering handmade goods, fashion, art, and more. Confirmed vendors include Thistle Farms, Rock-n-Boho Clothing, It’s Nashville Vinyl, Jewelry by Kristen, and Kimono Closet. This marketplace celebrates female entrepreneurship and the creativity that can emerge from even the darkest experiences.

Anthems Against Abuse was born from the shared experiences of co-founders Brittany Bishop and Daisy Sellas, two women who found each other in the midst of healing from painful and isolating chapters of their lives.

“Although our stories were different, we found deep solace in supporting one another and we wanted to bring that feeling to as many people as we could—especially those who feel like they have no safe space,” says Brittany. “The organizations we support are champions for women in our community and we hope to help give survivors a place to turn when it feels like there’s no way out. Abuse is more common than people realize, and we want to raise awareness around early warning signs—both in and outside the music industry—while offering a message of hope.”

For Daisy, Anthems Against Abuse blossomed from what she describes as a “crazy idea” after escaping an abusive relationship. “Because I was able to leave and had the support I did, I knew I needed to help women who aren’t as fortunate,” she shares. “What started as a fundraiser has turned into something so much bigger—it brought Brittany and me together when I needed her most. Our bond is just as powerful as the work we do. Together, we’re using music and connection to fight stigma, raise awareness, and build something beautiful out of what we survived.

About the Founders

Brittany Bishop is a Texas native who fell in love with country music before she could talk. After years touring with a Western swing band, she moved to Nashville at 18 and is now an alternative country artist and full-time performer. A survivor of sexual abuse, Brittany is a fierce advocate for awareness and prevention, lending her voice to organizations like RAINN and the #MeToo movement. Through Anthems Against Abuse and her music, she helps other women find strength and safety in their healing journeys. When she’s not on stage, you’ll find her watching horror movies, collecting crystals, or trying to keep her houseplants alive.

Daisy Sellas is a Nashville-based songwriter whose music fuses funk and country into what she calls “funtry.” Raised on a cattle ranch in Southern California, Daisy writes emotionally charged songs that reflect her own experiences with addiction, abuse, and survival. Her upcoming debut album, The White Line Black and Blues, tells that story through grit and grace. Through Anthems Against Abuse, Daisy continues her mission to fight shame, empower survivors, and remind others that healing is possible. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, spending time with family, and running long distances to clear her head.

“This album showcases my growth as a songwriter,” shares Allison. “I honor my relationships with my grandparents, tell stories that hopefully resonate with different types of people, and really highlight Souvenirs of Love through each song.

The 13-track collection, produced with Allison’s signature blend of country, pop, and jazz influences, weaves together intimate reflections and universal themes of love, loss, and resilience. Inspired by her time working at the iconic Pancake Pantry in Nashville, located next to Vanderbilt Hospital, Allison came face-to-face with numerous patrons carrying green badges; a sign they were visiting sick loved ones. Three emotional encounters, including a mother by her daughter’s side, teenage girls mourning their mother, and a grieving couple who had just lost their newborn, deeply moved Allison and led her to channel those experiences into song.

“The couple seemed sad throughout their entire meal and ended up leaving me a note that I still have today,” she recalls. “In the note, they mentioned my sunflower earrings and shared that they had just given birth and lost their baby. I felt a deep calling to write a song, and one of my favorite writers to collaborate with is Andi Renfree. She helped me bring my vision to life, and I think it turned out so beautifully.”

Track Listing:

  1. Souvenirs of Love
  2. Better with Time
  3. Something’s Gotta Give
  4. In A Diner

  8. Outlaw In-Laws
  9. A Love that Loves Me Too
  10. Big Apple Red
  11. Missing Piece

Nashville, TN (April 25, 2025) – Americana singer/songwriter Karlie Bartholomew returns with her most vulnerable release yet called “Haunted House,” available everywhere now! The track is a poignant exploration of memory, longing, and the ghosts we all carry with us.

With her signature folk-inspired storytelling and soft, soul-stirring vocals, she crafts a world that’s equal parts melancholy and magical.

“This project was so much fun to create,” Karlie shares. “I recorded and played every instrument myself in my bedroom, except for the electric guitar, which was performed by my husband, Daniel Schimmel. I hope you enjoy listening to this song as much as I loved making it!”

With “Haunted House,” Karlie transforms lingering emotions into poetic lyricism, inviting listeners to sit with their thoughts, face the things left unsaid, and leave room for healing and hope.

Allison Asarch Honors Loved Ones with Alzheimer’s in Emotional New Single “Big Apple Red”

Nashville, TN (March 21, 2025) – Allison Asarch is back with a powerful new single, Big Apple Red,” a deeply personal and emotional song inspired by a real-life encounter while getting a manicure. The track, which touches on the challenges of caring for loved ones with dementia or Alzheimer’s, has earned a nomination for The Rocky Mountain Songwriting Contest, to be held in Red Lodge, Montana, this June.

“Big Apple Red,” a nod to Asarch’s favorite OPI nail polish color, was inspired by a chance meeting in the salon, where Asarch observed an older woman repeatedly asking the same questions. The subtle signs of cognitive decline in the woman reminded Asarch of her own great-grandmother, who passed away at the age of 105.

“I wrote this song because I wanted to capture the sentimental impact of caring for someone who is slowly losing their memory,” says Asarch. “It’s about the little moments that connect us to our loved ones, even when they seem to forget. My great-grandmother always dressed up, even in her later years, and I’ll always remember how she’d ask where her purse was, even though she brought it in herself. It’s these small details that stay with us.”

The empathetic lyrics of “Big Apple Red” (co-written with Paige Ruderman and Scott Voelkerding) beautifully capture the emotional weight of caring for a loved one affected by dementia or Alzheimer’s. The lines, “In the time it took my nails to dry, I heard her ask the same questions at least a couple times,” and “First time I saw her, she was chattin’ with the owner, the next time, she walked a little slower, I’m just a stranger, but I feel like I know her,” poignantly highlight the heartbreak of seeing someone you care for struggle with memory loss.

Asarch shares, “This song really captures that emotional rollercoaster and I’m really proud of how it turned out.”

About Allison Asarch:
Allison Asarch is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter raised on powerhouse vocalists like Tina Turner, Shania Twain, and Freddie Mercury. Country Pop Star Twinnie Unleashes Official Music Video for “Worst Kind of Crush”

Nashville, TN (February 28, 2025) – British country pop star Twinnie is making waves once again with the release of her highly anticipated music video for Worst Kind of Crush. The stunning visual, which premiered exclusively on Holler Country, perfectly captures the song’s raw emotion and infectious energy.

A bittersweet anthem that blends heartache with high-energy pop-country, the track vividly portrays fleeting romance and unfulfilled passion: “The worst kind of crush is us making out at midnight on New Year’s Eve / The worst kind of rush is us giving it up and you disappearing on me.”

Since its release on February 7, “Worst Kind of Crush” has been climbing the charts, earning airplay on BFBS Radio and being named “Single of the Week” on CountryLine Radio

The official music video, filmed by Max Meets Music City, brings these emotions to life with breathtaking cinematography. “Now the song has an appropriately tongue-in-cheek video to go with it, as the castle of torture that she’s imprisoned herself in is brought to life as a 70s-style basement with heart-shaped balloons and pillows, and a landline for her to further torture herself with,” writes Holler. Striking a balance of vulnerability and empowerment, the video mirrors the song’s intensity, making it an unforgettable experience.

“This video actually came together by accident,” Twinnie shares. “We were in the middle of a photo shoot when I thought, ‘We should film the video here.’ I called my friend to play the guy and the rest is history. We shot it in about 20 minutes. Usually, I love to dance in my videos, but for this one, I liked the simplicity of just sitting on the phone and telling the story…basically yelling at my ex. Let’s be honest, we’ve all been there, which makes this video so relatable.”

Adding to the excitement, Twinnie has announced her highly anticipated Happy Hour Tour 2025, presented by JOY. Concerts and Holler Live. The tour will see Twinnie bring her signature powerhouse performances to stages across the UK and Ireland, joined by rising Tennessee recording artist Bonner Black. “Man, I’m in a mood and it’s big
Little fire in a red cup
Sip sippin’ on the good stuff
I got the Chevy all gassed up
Got my girls in the back and we ready to roll”

“I like boujee things,” Jacquie shares. “When I go out, I’ll eat a burger – but, if I am in my big mood, I’m all about steak, oysters, and seafood. That’s where the idea of ‘Big Mood’ comes from; feeling fancy, like you’re rich, even if you’re not. ‘Big Mood’ is a vibe, an energy. I love blasting it in my car because even if I’m not in the mood, it changes my energy and makes me want to party with my friends. I hope it makes everyone feel good, like they’re on top of the world.”

‘Big Mood’ is more than just a song – it’s an attitude. It’s the soundtrack to late-night bonfires, backroad adventures, and dance floors filled with boot-stompin’ energy.

The track follows Jacquie’s explosive 2024 releases, ‘Bad Habit,’ ‘Learn About Love,’ ‘High Heel High,’ and ‘Pass the Pain,’ which have collectively racked up nearly 500K streams.

Allison Asarch Unveils Heartfelt New Single “Souvenirs of Love”

Nashville, TN (February 21, 2025) – Rising country-pop artist Allison Asarch returns with an emotional and irresistibly catchy new single, ‘Souvenirs of Love.’ Co-written with Lizzie Johnson, Sammy Kay and Katie Fee, the track takes listeners on a deeply relatable journey of heartbreak, nostalgia, and the struggle to move on from a long-term relationship.

With ‘Souvenirs of Love,’ Allison masterfully captures the bittersweet reality of holding on to sentimental reminders of a past love—mugs, ticket stubs, old clothes—the little “souvenirs” that carry memories too powerful to let go. The song takes the story even further, painting a vivid picture of someone new moving into the space once shared, amplifying the ache of lost love rather than offering closure.

“All three of us wanted to write something that felt both personal and universal,” says Allison. “The melody is infectious, but the lyrics hit right in the heart. It’s the kind of song you belt in the car, whether you’re reminiscing about an old love or just love a good breakup anthem.”

Infused with Allison’s signature country-pop sound, ‘Souvenirs of Love’ delivers a compelling mix of emotional depth and undeniable energy. The production mirrors the song’s push and pull – combining anthemic hooks with raw, heart-wrenching storytelling. With an unforgettable chorus and a melody that lingers long after the song ends, ‘Souvenirs of Love’ is poised to become a fan favorite.

In 2018, Allison moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to chase her dreams. Heavily influenced by Taylor Swift, she blends country, pop, and jazz elements in her music. She followed this success with her debut album, “Texas to Tennessee,” released in February 2022.

In late 2021, Allison began performing country music and classic rock hits with her band on Broadway, Nashville’s legendary strip of honky-tonks. Determined to forge her own path, she personally booked herself at venues across the country, performing in Texas, Georgia, Tennessee, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, Virginia, and North Carolina. In July 2023, she made her festival debut at Dusty Boots in Denver, CO.

Allison has garnered significant recognition in her career, including a nomination for “Rising Star” at the Josie Music Awards in 2022, held at the Grand Ole Opry, and she was nominated for “Modern Country Artist of the Year” and “Vocalist of the Year” at 2023’s ceremony.

As she prepares to release her sophomore album in 2025, she’s excited to get more music out into the world. “This album is filled with stories, memories, and relatable music that I feel many listeners and fans will truly love.”

Allison is dedicated to uplifting women in the industry. “I know there are wonderfully accomplished women who play instruments, sing backup vocals, produce, and create. I want to help shine a light on those women and organizations as best I can!”
