Nashville, TN (October 17, 2024) – Nashville-based singer-songwriter Brittany Bextonrecently released the gripping music video for her latest single, “Dance with the Devil,” in honor of Domestic Abuse Awareness Month. The video delves into the song’s raw exploration of toxic relationships and aims to spark change by shedding light on the insidious cycle of abuse.
Having personally experienced domestic violence, Bexton views this release as a critical part of her advocacy. “Domestic abuse is often a taboo subject, but it impacts so many—both men and women. There’s a real need for education, especially around the cycle of abuse, red flags, and its manipulative dynamics. I’m passionate about raising awareness because knowledge is key to prevention,” she explains.
Already being hailed as an anthem for those trapped in abusive relationships, “Dance with the Devil” has drawn comparisons to some of the industry’s most powerful voices. In a review by Nashville Socialite, Bexton’s style was likened to Brantley Gilbert’s, noting, “Like Gilbert, Bexton merges rock elements with country roots to create a sound that is both forceful and deeply personal.”
The review also highlighted her ability to connect with audiences, drawing parallels to Christian music icon Amy Grant. “Both artists use their talents to offer messages of hope and resilience, connecting with listeners on a deeper emotional level.”
The video’s release on Domestic Violence Awareness Day underscores Bexton’s dedication to empowering survivors. “This was the perfect time for the video to debut,” she shares. “It’s my way of speaking the truth about abuse and encouraging others to find their way out. I hope it becomes a rallying cry for anyone seeking freedom from abuse.”
