CHARLOTTE MORRIS RELEASES NEW SINGLE “NOT MINE ANYMORE”

Nashville, TN (June 7, 2021) – Nashville-based singer/songwriter Charlotte Morrisrecently released her new single, “Not Mine Anymore,” off of her latest album, “Songs for My Next Ex.” You can listen to the song HERE!

With poignant lyrics like ’cause I told you I loved you, I gave you my trust, when you said that you were choosing only us, “Not Mine Anymore” is sure to tug on listener’s heartstrings.

“When I am going through something, whether happy or sad, I turn to music as a way to process,” Charlotte explains. “When I wrote Not Mine Anymore, my relationship at the time was just starting its downward spiral. While I was turning to every artist I usually depended on to give me that perfect sad song to listen to in the moment, nothing fully encapsulated all of the emotions that I was feeling. I wasn’t only in pain and heartbreak – there was a lot of confusion, jealousy and even hope. It was all so complicated (as all relationships are) and no existing song was doing it for me. So, I wrote my own. I hope that, for everyone else going through the multifaceted experience of heartbreak, this song can provide some solace, maybe some comfort, or at least help them get out a good cry.”

About Charlotte Morris:
Charlotte Morris is a nomadic singer-songwriter whose music showcases a unique blend of folk, pop, rock, & country music. From her lilting folk ballads to her rock anthems for a new generation, Charlotte displays a wide aptitude for various styles. She draws inspiration from many of her favorite artists including Delta RaeBrandi CarlileSara Bareilles, and Liz Longely, as well as folk legends like Peter, Paul and MarySimon & Garfunkel, and Joni Mitchell. Her songs, which are mostly auto-biographical, also reflect her years in the theatre, with nuances and lyrical storytelling akin to musical theatre writing. Described as “the love-child of Judy Collins, deftly playing her violin, guitar and our heartstrings”, Charlotte’s music and heartfelt on-stage presence bring audience members along for the emotional ride.

Charlotte released her debut EP To New York, With Love in June 2018, which received recognition from newspapers, music blogs, and playlists worldwide. Since then, Charlotte has released a number of singles, including 2 “quarantunes” about the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a 5 song EP, Sputnik, produced by Nashville-based, Mitch Dane. In Spring 2019, Charlotte embarked on her first solo tour, performing in 15+ cities across the country including Nashville, Austin, and NYC. Songs for My Next Ex is Charlotte’s first full length album. It is an 8-part “story album” that, when listened to from top to bottom, takes the listener through the highs and lows, the goods and bads, of a tumultuous, yet transformative relationship. About Allison Asarch:
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Allison Asarch discovered her love for music at a young age. As a child, she would perform at her grandparents’ annual Christmas talent show, but it wasn’t until she reached 4th grade that she knew she wanted to make a career out of it. “My music teacher, Ms. Teagarden, had everyone singing and smiling…including the boys! I loved the joy music brought to me and everyone else.”

Raised on powerhouse vocalists like Tina Turner, Shania Twain and Freddie Mercury, Allison began cultivating her own unique sound while attending Otterbein University’s School of Music in Westerville, Ohio. It was there that she began teaching herself how to play the guitar, while also taking piano lessons during her freshman and sophomore years. She was also a member of the school’s choir, training in classical opera and traveling to Ireland and Germany to perform.

In 2018, Allison moved to Nashville, Tennessee to start chasing her dreams. When the Coronavirus pandemic hit in early 2020, she seized the opportunity to start recording and releasing her own music. Nashville, TN (May 14, 2021) – Indie-Folk singer/songwriter Julia Cannon recently released her new single “The Shore.” Click HERE to listen!

With profound lyrics like we’ll set aside our pride and teach by showing, pain as a part of life and fear as a twisting knife, listeners are sure to relate to Julia’s authenticity. You can watch the official music video for “The Shore” HERE.

“For some of us, it’s easy to catch yourself thinking about the ways that your parents could have done a better job raising you,” Julia explains. “Now that I’m older, of course I know that they did the best that they could with what they had. But, growing up in Alaska as a poor first generation American, I couldn’t help but to think about what I would want to do differently. This song was born from that place in my heart.”

About Julia Cannon:
Julia Cannon is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter and music producer who is hard to forget. Her soothing, honeyed voice and quirky personality offer a pleasing contrast to the bittersweet honesty of her lyrics.

Julia Cannon was raised in Alaska by a hardworking Filipino mother, in a household Cannon could only describe as “unorthodox.” She developed her wicked sense of humor and offbeat persona early on. As one of only a few people of color in a mostly white, ultra-conservative community, Julia’s creative voice cemented her identity as a young woman who could not – and would not – be overwritten.

In 2015, Julia wrote, arranged, and produced the EP My Name is Julia, which garnered significant attention with bloggers and local radio stations throughout the US. Tracks such as Mashed Potatoes, Batty, and Tracking have been featured in podcasts and playlists across the US and UK. In 2017, Cannon released her debut album, Lack of Will.

Julia Cannon’s sound has been described as playful and relaxing, but her tone transcends the indie-folk genre to include comedy, classic rock, and jazz influences. Cannon credits her genre-bending style to influences such as Ella Fitzgerald, Paul McCartney, and Paul Simon. Cannon now has a growing fanbase in Nashville, who join an existing community of ardent supporters both at home in Alaska and across the US.

CARRIE CUNNINGHAM REMINDS US WHAT LOVE IS WITH NEW SINGLE

Nashville, TN (May 11, 2021) – After releasing her first ballad (“Doors Don’t Close”) off of her Showgirl Series, Carrie Cunningham is changing the pace and giving us a thought-provoking new song about humanity. Click HERE to listen to “What is Love.”

With a blend of Reggae, Pop, and Urban influences, this country artist is showing us her idea of what an anthemic song looks like.  With lyrics like what is love? ’cause if it’s patient and kind, I don’t mean to judge, but it’s falling behind, what’s with all the anger what’s with all the hate, wish it was the anchor to how we live today, listeners are sure to connect with Carrie’s message.

“I’ve always been hesitant to write a song that resembles a political song – but this song needed to be written,” Carrie explains. “It didn’t start out that way.  Lyrically, my co-writers, Ceri Usmar, Steve Smentek and I, were going off a mid-tempo, very legato melody that I started to sing as we were writing it. It helped us through the process of finishing the lyrics. But, I wasn’t truly happy with what I had come up with. The prosody hadn’t been met yet. I threw out four or five different versions until two days before I went into the studio to record it. I knew this version of the song was the right one.”

Carrie is also making a video for the song, with photos from award winning photographer Aaron Andersen, which will be out later this month  It will be available on YouTube and also her website.

About Carrie Cunningham:
Carrie is based in both Nashville, Tennessee and Huntington Beach, California. She has been a touring artist for two decades and has performed on over 1,000 stages. She has had the pleasure of sharing the stage with over 50 national acts, such as Kacey MusgravesCharlie DanielsJake OwenCrystal GayleDiamond RioCollective Soul and more.

FOLK SINGER/SONGWRITER ANNATHYST RELEASES NEW SINGLE “MOUNTAIN SKIES”

Nashville, TN (May 7, 2021) – Interstellar folk songstress Annathyst recently released her new single “Mountain Skies.” You can listen to the song HERE!

With calming lyrics like the world is alright, do you see it, in the morning light, in the mountain skies, “Mountain Skies” is sure to bring the peace and tranquility we have all been searching for after a long, rough year.
Mountain Skies is a song for these times,” Annathyst explains. “During the beginning of the pandemic last year, I took a trip to the mountains and spent three days unplugged in solitude at a cabin in the woods and went into silence and prayer. As I was feeling disoriented about what was happening in the world, this song came through and reminded me that, on some level, everything is okay.”

About Annathyst:
Originally from a different solar system, otherwise known as the backwoods of Michigan, Annathyst has never followed a traditional approach to music. Untamed by the structure of traditional music teaching, her interest in music often coincided with singing around the campfire with her acoustic guitar. But, it wasn’t until her early 20’s that she discovered that music was actually a necessity for her survival. Annathyst’s realization unfortunately came at a cost, when having to sing at her sister’s funeral; a moment that revealed to her the healing potential of her songs, hope in the midst of devastation. Ever since, writing music has led her to connect with something bigger, often calling it an “instantaneous transmission” – where songs seem to find her through a meadow wind, or when backpacking the Colorado Trail. In late 2019 she began working with producer/artist Julian Peterson of Wolf Den Records out of Colorado. The result was a set of songs, or transmissions, that expanded upon her raw sound into more interstellar places, though still retaining the faint scent of campfire. Her upcoming debut album “Fly Again” is a story of mending her broken wings after loss and learning how to fly again.

For more information, visit www.wolfdenrecords.co and follow Annathyst on Instagram and Spotify.

It wasn’t until the Coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. in 2020 that she found what she loved most about the creative process of music. As a trained opera singer, CASSANDRA has a vast vocal range that spans over four octaves. She has a fierce sound, with the ability to seamlessly weave in and out of tricky vocal runs that would trip up most singers.  As an artist, her goal is to never treat two songs the same, thus developing a new sound for each one.
