ANIMATED CHILDREN’S FILM “SEAPER POWERS: MYSTERY OF THE BLUE PEARLS” STARRING VANILLA ICE OUT NOW!

Nashville, TN (August 8, 2023) – The full-length animated children’s movie “Seaper Powers: Mystery of the Blue Pearls” is officially available for viewing! The film stars rapper, actor and television host Vanilla Ice as “Steve the Starfish,” was directed and produced by Kim Cameron (Side FX Partners)and can be streamed on Amazon PrimeTubi and IMDB.

PG rated and family-friendly, “Seaper Powers: Mystery of the Blue Pearls” is the sequel to the previously released movie “Seaper Powers: In Search of Bleu Jay’s Treasure (2021)” and lasts 66 minutes. Both films are based on Kim’s successful “Sea Life Book Series” for children.

“Kids need an outlet to feel adventure in stories again,” Kim Cameron, director and producer, shares. “These films were not designed for adults, but rather kids who love exploring the mysteries of the ocean and those who love dare to dream big.”

The Dove Channel gave the film a four-star rating for integrity, stating:

“Seaper Powers: Mystery of the Blue Pearls sets out to solve a potential disaster in the ocean, where Emma comes to the rescue when she uses the special powers she has had since childhood to help uncover the truth about why the expensive pearls being sold in the market are so blue. Her bosses fear they have been contaminated by pollutants, so they send this talented oceanographer to deep sea dive for answers. Luckily Emma has a unique ability to breathe under water and communicate with sea life, so she solicits her marine friends to help her solve this mystery and catch the bad guys who are taking advantage of the situation. What she doesn’t expect is to encounter the heroic merman with a secret of his own, and when he gets hurt and needs saving, everyone has some decisions to make about what is most important.

This short film is a fun adventure that is filled with lessons about the environment including what pollution is and the damage it can cause to the oceanic ecosystem, and while these characters make good decisions, there are some opportunities to talk with children about “keeping secrets.” More so, the highlights worth focusing on include the sacrificial attitudes of all the main characters toward their friends, and the desire to help others and behave responsibly regarding the environment. This sweet and captivating story leaves the viewer on a cliffhanger, looking forward to Emma’s next adventure.” – Dove.org

Kim has now begun her third feature film production in the Seaper Powers series.

“I think everyone has a word or a phrase to express that initial, unbridled connection when they meet someone special in their life,” Carl shares. “I always used the word ‘spark.’ My co-writer on this song, Daniel Hansen, played what would be the beginning riff of the song, and I told him ’It sounds like an empty lighter flickering as it makes sparks.’  We thought that was an idea to run with and ended up being the most exhilarating and efficient process of writing a song that either of us had ever been a part of. Daniel and I had just recently met before writing this song and writing this song together ’sparked’ a very real and special friendship. We are proud of this song, and hope it connects with people who have either found or are waiting for their ‘spark.’”

“Piece of Me” is an album that brings bits and pieces of Sam’s story to life through music. With her vulnerable perspective and eclectic sounds, Sam is hoping to captivate her listeners by opening herself up and sharing her journey with them. The album features previously released singles “Get Out of My Town (ft. Amanda McCarthy),” “Whiskey Memory,” “Love’s Got A Way of Letting You Down,” and “Waiter.”
“This album has been in the works for 3 years,” Sam shares. “It has been the longest journey, but I cannot wait to share every piece of me with you!”

About Sam Ferrara:
As the kid who has always had the drive and passion for music, from listening to NPR to singing many solos in the school choir, Sam Ferrara has made music a significant part of her life. Beginning with her voice and piano, she quickly realized she had a knack for instruments and learned the clarinet, alto saxophone, and her favorite, bass clarinet – just to name a few. Finding her stride in high school and college, these pieces of her story helped develop her into the musician she is today.

Graduating with a degree from Hofstra University in Music Education, Sam became a middle school band teacher, passing on her passion for music to others over the last 10 years. While teaching in the classroom, Sam also pursued her love of storytelling through songwriting, eventually moving to Nashville in 2017. Influenced by the musicianship and lyrical genius of Hunter Hayes, Sam continued to push herself deeper into her own original compositions and made the leap to being a full-time artist this year.

Sam is all about impacting and inspiring others. During a low point in her life, a stranger told her to “go and take her life back” and that was just the boost she needed to go after her dreams. Sam hit the ground running, releasing her songs “Whiskey Memory” and “Get Out of My Town (featuring Amanda McCarthy)” in 2022. The sassy and powerful lyrics of those songs encourage her audience to be not only open with how they feel, but to also stand up for themselves. Sam also hopes that her stories will help her audience to understand her personal journey, too.

Looking to stand out in the industry, Sam has been incorporating woodwind instruments into her music as part of a movement to modernize country music and push her music to the next level. Sam’s sound is rooted in country music, with a blend of all different musical influences such as jazz, rock, acoustic and more.

A few memorable career highlights for Sam include performing at venues such as Madison Square Garden, Barclay Center, off-Broadway at Symphony Space and The Hobby Center for the Performing Arts in Houston, TX. In addition, Sam alsotraveled to Europe to perform shows in 2010 and 2012 and has performed at legendary venues like The Cutting Room in New York City, The Bluebird Cafe and The Listening Room in Nashville, TN. She has opened for artists such as Kalie ShorrHoney Country and Lauren Davidson and she looks forward to growing that list.

Her debut album “Piece of Me” was released on July 28, 2023 and is a culmination of the pieces of her journey throughout the last 8 years. Sam feels that the delivery of “Piece of Me” will be the moment where she can finally be seen for who she truly is. This is only the beginning of Sam’s story and the best is yet to come!

3. There’s Always Tomorrow

5. Drinkin’ My Baby Goodbye (Charlie Daniels Band Cover)

“Back in late ’21 and early ’22, I recorded a collection of songs that mean a great deal to me,” Zach shares. “Part I includes five of those songs, covering a whole lot of ground. There’s heartache, new love, drinking, wandering, and a whole lot more. I guess each song is a different season we’ve all endured at one point or another, along with a couple that pay homage to my honky tonk heroes. But, the best thing about it is that this EP is just genuine, unapologetic country music, which I don’t really think you can fake. I’ve found my voice as an artist and writer, and I’m excited for folks to finally hear it.”

“Part 1” features three previously released singles, “What’s Done Is Done,” “There’s Always Tomorrow” and “Stay Awhile,” which currently has over 170K streams on Spotify.

About Zach Cornell:
Zach Cornell is a Texas troubadour carving out a living with a guitar and a songbook in Nashville, Tennessee. Following in the footsteps of his honky tonk heroes, Zach is playing his part in old-school country’s long overdue comeback.

Cornell comes from a small town in the Texas Panhandle and he’s been using that down-home upbringing to write his own brand of country music ever since. As Zach began to find his own sound and voice as both a writer and artist, he started to feel the pull of Nashville. Together, with his wife, he made the move to Nashville in 2018 to work full-time as a musician and songwriter. When Cornell isn’t on the road, he can be found in Nashville playing local venues across the city and co-writing with local up-and-comers.

Throughout a couple studio sessions at Rising Sun Studios in Old Hickory, Tennessee, Zach recorded a new set of songs that are his strongest yet. “I can’t wait for folks to hear what I’ve been up to. I’ve been playing a few of these songs for two or three years now at live shows, so it’ll be nice for folks who haven’t been to a show to get to hear ‘em.”

Zach’s newest EP, titled Part I, includes the first half of the ’21/’22 sessions. The EP is available everywhere July 28.
