Nashville, TN (June 16, 2023) – Country music singer/songwriter and recording artist Kristine Kabbes recently released her new single “Beer Bottle Microphone.” You can listen to the song HERE!

With fun-loving and rowdy lyrics like it’s been a long week, she needs a long neck, that drink in her hand helps her to forget, “Beer Bottle Microphone” will have listeners boot-scootin’ on the dance floor. Kristine’s powerful, storytelling vocals and energetic performances combine her traditional country music sound with the band’s rocking guitar hooks to create their own distinctive Midwest sound.

“Dave McAfee (drums) and Dave Smith (guitar) of Toby Keith’s Easy Money Bandhelped produce and write this song,” Kristine explains. “My husband and bass player, Mike Dittmer, came to me with this song idea about a beer bottle microphone because we see this all the time at our shows. I thought it was a great idea and sat down with it. I had an idea for the melody and a verse and chorus, but it wasn’t finished – I wasn’t sure how to end the story. So, we brought it to our co-write with McAfee and Smith and they were what it needed! We finished the story and completed the song. As we went along with the recording process, we just kept tweaking and fine tuning until we got what you hear now. We are thrilled with the final product!”

About Kristine Kabbes:
Kristine Kabbes grew up roaming the farm land of Aurora, Indiana. At a very young age, Kristine’s parents encouraged her love of both music and a country lifestyle. Like many great singers, Kristine got her start singing hymns in the church choir. Her success as a young child in the church choir prompted her to explore different artistic expressions such as local theatre groups, show choir and musical dramaturgy around the Greater Cincinnati area. By the time Kristine became a teenager, she was the desired performer of the National Anthem at air shows, festivals and other events in the Tri-State area. 

Kristine attended Columbia College in Chicago where she studied Music Business and Vocal Performance and graduated with Honors. While at Columbia, she commissioned the band Strange on Display as session players for the recording of her solo album. Kristine was so impressed by the raw talent of the band that she invited them to be her exclusive backing band for live performances. In Strange on Display Kristine found mutual passion and support. She also found her now husband and bass player, Michael Dittmer.

When tragedy took the life of Kristine’s good friend and drummer, she and the band decided to take a short break to grieve and later came together and unified as The Skallywags. The rising popularity of the band led them to move to Nashville, Tennessee. They fell in love with Music City and have been based out of the city ever since. 

In 2020, they rebranded; transforming The Skallywags into the solo artist, Kristine Kabbes. While Kristine is recognized as a solo artist, she still utilizes The Skallywags as her backup band during live performances. Kristine keeps busy touring, writing and working on various recording projects. She has shared the stage with many artists including Carly Pearce, The Cadillac Three, Parmalee, Diamond Rio, Casey James, Clint Black, Wynonna Judd, Lorrie Morgan, Collin Raye and Bret Michaels.

In 2019, Kim wrote and produced her first short film, released on Amazon, called Carpe Musicam. She was the executive producer for SeemaTV’s ‘This is Kim,’ a documentary which is currently airing. She has also written a musical screenplay, awarded by the New York Screenplay, and the Amsterdam Film Festival after being workshopped in London’s Theater District.

Shame only has power over us if we choose to give it that power. It’s when we realize that the power comes from us, our God-given free will, that the game is over. Zhaklina, originally from New York and of Albanian, Irish and Greek descent, is an Independent, Alternative Pop artist. Nashville, TN (April 18, 2023) – Southern rocker Brandon Blackburn recently released a country cover of Skid Row‘s 1989 hit song “I Remember You.” You can listen to the single HERE!

With his new release, Brandon wanted to go back to his rock ‘n’ roll roots and record one of his childhood favorites.  “I always wanted to be a rockstar growing up,” Brandon shares. Taking inspiration from Justin Moore’s 2019 cover of “Home Sweet Home” (Motley Crue), Brandon put his own country spin on the heavy metal classic “I Remember You.”

“My hope is that this version of song kind of bridges a gap,” Brandon explains. ” I hope itreaches a younger generation of people who might not know the song, or much about that era of music, while also appealing to the older, rock-oriented crowd. This is a song they’ve heard and loved for decades.”

The song, written by band members Rachel Bolan and Dave Sabo, was the third single released from Skid Row’s self-titled debut album and reached #6 on the Billboard Hot 100chart. The success of the single lead to Bon Jovi signing the band to his publishing company, subsequently bringing them on tour.

About Brandon Blackburn:
Brandon Blackburn has loved music for as long as he can remember. Born in Memphis, Tennessee, he and his family moved all around the country during his childhood while his father attended medical school. “My father played guitar growing up and was really into the 80’s hair metal. He definitely gave me the passion I have for music and the love for that era of music definitely got passed down to me.” 

After getting his first guitar as a Christmas present in third grade, Brandon’s father taught him the basic chords. Before long, he had mastered their favorite song – “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Heavily influenced by classic 80s rock music, along with artists like Eric Church, Nelly and Matchbox 20, Brandon has cultivated his own unique sound by combining modern country with a hint of alternative rock.

In 2016, Brandon graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Mississippi. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis on finance and risk management. He credits his college years for giving him the confidence to perform on stage. “I would go out on Wednesday nights, get liquored up, and hit karaoke night. That’s where I found the nerve, I guess you would say, to start singing in front of other people.”

“I’m a jokester, so I’m always giving corny toasts and engaging with the crowd by making them laugh, making them drink, etc. I absolutely love taking requests and no request is too out there. At my shows, I’ll go from Bon Jovi and Alan Jackson to Prince and Slipknot…I’ve even busted out some SpongeBob SquarePants a time or two!”

Over the last four years, Brandon has been performing at local bars all over the gulf coast and, most recently, the entire southeast.  In 2021, he was awarded the honor of “Best Country Performer” by Lagniappe Magazine, a Mobile-based magazine that focuses on South Alabama. 

In July of 2022, Brandon finished writing his first original song and released “472” on September 21st. The single received rave reviews from both listeners and press and currently has over 15K streams on Spotify.

Nashville, TN (April 17, 2023) – Country singer/songwriter and recording artist Allison Asarch recently released a cover of the 1995 hit Hootie & the Blowfish song “Only Wanna Be with You.” You can listen to her romantic, country-ballad version HERE!

The song, written by Darius Rucker, Dean Felber, Mark Bryan and Jim Sonefield, was the third single released from the Hootie & the Blowfish album Cracked Rear View and reached #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart. Cracked Rear View went on to become the biggest-selling album in Atlanta Records’ history, with “Only Wanna Be with You” remaining a fan-favorite tune today.

“Cover songs were a big part of my journey finding my voice out of the opera world and back into the mainstream music world,” Allison explains. “I’ve always been a fan of this song by Hootie & the Blowfish. About Allison Asarch:
Growing up in Houston, Texas, Allison Asarch discovered her love for music at a young age. As a child, she would perform at her grandparents’ annual Christmas talent show, but it wasn’t until she reached 4^th grade that she knew she wanted to make a career out of it. “My music teacher, Ms. Teagarden, had everyone singing and smiling…including the boys! I loved the joy music brought to me and everyone else.”

Raised on powerhouse vocalists like Tina Turner, Shania Twain and Freddie Mercury, Allison began cultivating her own unique sound while attending Otterbein University’s School of Music in Westerville, Ohio. It was there that she began teaching herself how to play the guitar, while also taking piano lessons during her freshman and sophomore years. The song, which was recorded at TheBomb Shelter Studio in Nashville, features Seth Taylor (Mountain Heart) on mandolin, Gabe Burdulis (Brittney Spencer) on electric/slide guitar, Eva Jerde (Zeona Road) on background vocals, Megan Jane (Brittney Spencer) on drums/percussion, Andrew Brown (Morgan Evans) on bass and Gabe Baker on cello. The mastering was done by Britt Edwards at Britt Edwards Media.

“Love You Back captures three main ideas – love yourself, you matter and be your own best friend,” Cassandra explains. “Kids need to hear this. After the recent shooting at the Covenant School in Nashville, our people are terrified – terrified of another shooting, terrified of sending their children to school, terrified of the gun laws in our state and country. I think now, more than ever, we need to focus on mental health for children. School shootings are happening everywhere and students need to know that their voices can be heard and that their mental health matters. I’m on a mission to make sure each and every student I reach realizes that.”

Cassandra (Pinataro) was crowned Miss Boston in 2022 and was first runner-up to Miss Massachusetts that same year. While still reigning her title, Cassandra decided to chase her dream and move to Nashville, TN, where she was crowned Miss Music City in 2023. She is currently competing for the title of Miss Tennessee and hopes to continue on to the Miss America competition later this year.

About Cassandra:
Born in Rockville, MD, Cassandra began singing as soon as she could speak. She grew up in Duluth, GA before moving to Binghamton, NY for middle school and high school. Her family resides in Jacksonville, FL. “Every city I’ve lived in has taught me something about myself and the world around me,” she explains. “Although it was difficult to move often, I’m grateful for the memories I have made and the lessons I have learned in each place.” 
 
In high school, Cassandra began to dabble with her songwriting skills, composing several pop songs but never releasing them. It wasn’t until the Coronavirus pandemic hit the U.S. in 2020 that she found what she loved most about the creative process of music. She started writing and co-writing pop music and began recording soon after.

As a trained opera singer, Cassandra has a vast vocal range that spans over four octaves. She has a fierce sound, with the ability to seamlessly weave in and out of tricky vocal runs that would trip up most singers.  As an artist, her goal is to never treat two songs the same, thus developing a new sound for each one.

Cassandra graduated from the New England Conservatory of Music with a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Voice Performance and is currently studying for her Master’s degree in Music Business through Berklee College of Music‘s online program.

“I wrote Tennessee a few months after moving to Nashville in 2021,” Charlotte recalls. “I was totally infatuated with the city, and the summer was a whirlwind of sunny days, first dates, lake swims, long hikes… basically living in a bit of a fantasy land – summer camp for adults. But as I started to settle in, I also started to snap back to reality. I had moved here for a reason; plus, I’m a real adult now (yikes!) and have responsibilities.

I think that the pairing of whimsy and realism create a sense of nostalgia that is almost tangible throughout the song. We all have those days that, 50 years from now, we’ll look back on and smile. The people might not still be around; maybe you’ve moved; maybe your life looks completely different. But those days shaped you, and gave you life. For me, those days will always include my first summer in Tennessee. Those carefree days were fleeting, but they paved the way for me to build a stable life in this city that will always hold a place in my heart. The song will always serve as a reminder of that.”

With the recent legislative action happening in Tennessee, Charlotte wants to encourage all listeners to donate to the ACLU’s Support the Drag Defense Fund, a campaign that champions drag performers and the LGBTQ+ community. Since then, Charlotte has released a number of singles, including 2 “quarantunes” about the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as a 5 song EP, Sputnik, produced by Nashville-based, Mitch Dane. In Spring 2019, Charlotte embarked on her first solo tour, performing in 15+ cities across the country including Nashville, Austin, and NYC. At the end of 2020, Charlotte released her first full length album, Songs for My Next Ex – an 8-part “story album” that, when listened to from top to bottom, takes listeners through the highs and lows of a tumultuous, yet transformative relationship.

After almost a two-year hiatus, Charlotte released her single “Good Kind of Hurt,” produced by Will Gawley of Charlotte Avenue Entertainment, on June 10, 2022. She followed up with “Tennessee,” which she released on March 24, 2023.

Nashville, TN (March 24, 2023) – Country music singer/songwriter and recording artist Katie Fee recently released her new single “Haven’t Even Poured the Whiskey” (co-written with Sammy Kay and Paige King Johnson). You can listen to the song HERE!

With whimsical lyrics like my head is starting to spin, my hands are starting to shake, my words are tangled up and I can’t seem to think straight, “Haven’t Even Poured the Whiskey” will have listeners feeling drunk on love by the end of the song.

“Sometimes song ideas can come simply from hearing someone say something that sounds like a lyric or a title, so you have to watch what you say around songwriters,” Katie jokes. “At the end of Sammy Kay‘s birthday party, everyone was getting ready to leave and her mom looked over at a bottle of whiskey and said, Oh, we didn’t even open the whiskey. My songwriter brain lit up, so I wrote it down knowing I had a write scheduled with Sammy and Paige King Johnson the next Monday. We took that idea and ran with it!”

About Katie Fee:
Katie Fee’s love of music stems from an early age in which she listened to ‘90s country artists such as Shania Twain, Faith Hill, and Deana Carter. In the Fall of 2017, Katie left her hometown of Sioux Falls, SD to attend Belmont University in Nashville, TN, where she studied music business. Since moving to Music City, Katie has thrown herself into Nashville’s songwriting community, co-writing with other songwriters and playing in writers’ rounds around town.

While she fuses influences of past and present, country, rock, and pop, the South Dakota native still strives to stay true to country music’s storytelling roots. Whether the song’s about love, heartbreak, having a good time, or working hard, Katie weaves the listener through a story along the way.

On July 2nd, 2021, she released her debut EP “Sunsets and Fireworks.” The title track has been described by Three Chords Country as “What you would get if Eric Church‘s Springsteen were written by a young Taylor Swift,” perfectly summing up the songstress’s influences. “Sunsets and Fireworks” has gotten radio play on several stations including Radio SoBro, CountryRadio.UK, and SheWolf Radio.

In addition to music, Katie also enjoys traveling. In the past few years, she’s managed to put the two passions together and play shows out on the road in places such as South Carolina, Alabama, The Listening Room in Pigeon Forge, TN, and Wild West Songwriters’ Festival in Deadwood, SD.

In 2023, Katie looks forward to putting out new music, beginning with the release of “Haven’t Even Poured The Whiskey” on March 24th.
